Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Rack Up ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rack Up is a billiards game-tracking platform that allows players to record match results, track Elo ratings, participate in King of the Table events, and view leaderboards at participating venues.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to register.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

4. Display Names and Content Policy

  • Display names must not contain offensive, discriminatory, threatening, or sexually explicit language.
  • Rack Up reserves the right to rename, suspend, or delete accounts with inappropriate display names without prior notice.
  • Automated filters are in place to prevent common violations. Attempts to circumvent these filters may result in account suspension.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it.
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or leaderboards.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.

6. Game Results and Disputes

Rack Up provides tools for recording and confirming game results. Rack Up is not responsible for resolving in-person disputes between players. Both players are expected to confirm results honestly.

7. Venue Participation

Participating venues may access aggregated leaderboard data and check-in information for players associated with their venue. Venue operators are responsible for their own compliance with applicable laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Rack Up does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rack Up and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Account Termination

Rack Up reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.
